How it all started...
Fort Square Presbyterian Church is built upon a foundation of relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, faithfulness to studying, preaching and teaching from God's Word, unceasing and faithful prayer, and a commitment to meet the needs of people both within our congregation and through global and local outreach and missions.
In February 2016, Fort Square join The Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (ECO). Go to Our Story | ECO (eco-pres.org) to learn more about ECO.
Fort Square is committed to a long Presbyterian heritage that originates in the Protestant Reformation with the teaching of Martin Luther and John Calvin. Luther's emphasis on justification by grace through faith alone has always been a foundation of Presbyterian teaching. In addition, the Presbyterian Church has long emphasized the uniqueness of the Scriptures as the sole authority in the church and for our faith.
Fort Square was founded in 1896 and one year later moved to its current location in the city of Quincy, Massachusetts. Quincy is located just south of Boston, and with more than 90,000 residents, is the most populous city in the South Shore region of the state. As the birthplace of the second President, John Adams, and the sixth President, John Quincy Adams, as well as legendary patriot John Hancock, Quincy is known as the "City of Presidents" and "Birthplace of the American Dream."

Where we are headed...
We have cast a 6 year vision and are excited to see the Lord work in our midst.
We are excited to implement a robust disciple making program that reaches the the whole family and all ages, build bridges with the AA groups and Albanian groups that meet here at the church, and to increasingly become a neighborhood church.
